It’s easy to get confused as to what constitutes a healthy and balanced diet.
Limit your intake of sugary drinks such as sodas, fruit juices and sweetened teas. Studies have pointed out that these sugar sweetened beverages can increase the risk of heart diseases and type 2 diabetes.
One way to manage our weight is to replace carbohydrate with complex carbohydrates as such as peas, beans and wholegrain foods. Where possible, avoid ultra-processed foods that contain additives such as salt, preservatives, added sugar, artificial sweeteners, colors and flavors.
Eat natural foods and drinks lots of water!
